BROTHERS OF LIGHT
Brothers of Light is an organization of individuals who are on a spiritual search for self-realization. The search, conscious
or not, involves a desire to become one with the SOURCE, the Father, the creator, the I AM, the Brahman, THAT from which we
manifest, from which we have our life, movement, and Being. In fact it ends up with the searcher ultimately knowing that all
ARE one with the Ultimate, have always been, and always will be.
The purposes for which this organization was formed are specifically and primarily to cultivate, promote, promulgate, and
extend to all peoples the teachings and precepts of any and all religions and inspired works (written or verbal) whereby a
knowledge and awareness of the ULTIMATE (be IT known by whatever name) is made manifest, if so sought.
Brothers of Light organization as practiced fully, holds that each individual comes to an awareness of the Ultimate Reality
in his own way, in his own time, by his own method, and through his own experience, and that there is no "RIGHT" doctrine
as such that this organization can set forth as its specific Religious Dogma. People of all religious beliefs can belong to
the Brothers of Light while seeking their own path back Home, thereby developing through living them the principles that can
unite all peoples of all races, religions, and nations, in the universal precepts of peace and prosperity, joy and love, and
the ever-present opportunities to individually achieve what is called
"Spiritual Enlightenment"
SPIRITUAL SEARCH
The search, usually beginning with a little psychic itch that drives one slowly nuts until there begins an irresistible response
to it, takes on many forms, but the basic and universal factor behind all serious quests has to do with the fact that we all
want to know (actually NEED to know) who and what we really are. It is of paramount importance to know truth through our own
KNOWING process, and not be content letting someone else tell us the so-called FACTS. Getting it predigested from others is
about as satisfying as eating someone elses vomit, and about as spiritually nourishing ultimately. The Buddha tells us that
we must trust nothing and no one, but must find the truth for and in ourself.
WHAT
Brothers of Light, as an organization, is simply a group who want to be of help to each other and to others for for the sole
purpose of making this journey smoother. Are we a church? Yes. We are. We are legally recognized as a Church and as a Monastic
Order by the Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service (501 (c) (3). But we are a church which has no Dogma except perhaps
that the "Truth will make us free," and beyond that we feel that it is up to every individual to finally choose his own Way
since, when the quest is a serious quest, all paths will in fact lead back to the SOURCE. No question about it.
Of course this last statement would be vehemently denied and argued by most Religious Organizations, all who will claim that
"Their Way is The Way", and that Salvation comes only through their ordinances and rigmarole. But what most Religious Organizations
(Churches) are really looking for are bodies who will support the organization financially. Spiritual truths are, at most,
secondary in their scheme of things. And the idea of actually KNOWING THE FATHER becomes an impossibility in the minds of
most of their leaders, and followers, of such churches, and consequently there are few seekers of the INNER PATH within their
ranks. Our goal is to present WAYS to Enlightenment.

A LIVING CREED
1
To endeavor to become one, consciously, with that which is called God, Creator, Source, etc.

To live life so that the universal principal called LOVE is experienced and manifested in all its minute aspects, and does
so with perfect compassion.

To freely give of one's self, that the welfare of others becomes paramount.

To freely give to one's self those things (love, respect, gratitude, etc.,) that are needful and desirable in order that one
attain his full joy and taste his inherent Godhood.

To strive to be truly a Temple of God, that Creation may always manifest in uninhibited emanation. That we purify the Temple
so as to be as receptive to new possibilities and potentials as is possible.

To be always an empty vessel, open to fulfillment by the Source.

To live in respect for the natural universe without causing harm to any living entity striving to evolve towards Creative
Truth, with a sure knowledge that all entities are also evolving in all their many kingdoms.

To accept all of humanity as equals with regard to their religious station, realizing each is also a member of, and in an,
eternal evolution.
When one is ready the door will open. If one chooses not to enter through that door, that is a personal choice. But one must
be cognizant of the fact that the door WILL close and another such opportunity may be years in the coming. Maybe even eons
in the coming.
It must be always held as a conscious thought in the mind of the searcher that he must remain OPEN to opportunity, and in
being open learn to trust and be unafraid, and in being unafraid allow the Spirit & Mind dwelling within the body to be like
a sponge and take in the messages (spiritual nourishment) that come freely from all sources and from all directions.
Brothers of Light says that there are as many ways of reaching our HOME as there are individuals seeking to do so. But there
are some proven methods which have been utilized since man began to search, and when some of these methods are sought and
used, time and energies might be saved, and fruitless running "here and there" might be eliminated. It is not the aim of Brothers
of Light to say "this is the way to do it" or "that is the way to do it." All we say is "There is a Way, and the Way is available
to anyone who really wants to walk and work it."
WHO
We want to extend our hand to offer our love to anyone who might be fearful, feeling alone in the search, afraid to take the
first step, wondering what is going on, fretting over the fact that someone might have said to them
"that's Satan's work"
(that is what the ignorant always say when they don't know what else to say).
Or in general to simply extend our hands to those who are nervous about momentary insecurities in life. Brothers of Light
does not have all the answers. We are on the path also, just like you. and we are all where we ARE in our quest. And we are
aware of these deep-set fears that gnaw away at our confidence and keep us so long from making the move into the
LIGHT
But with all of this turmoil going on in all our lives we simply say "Welcome!" We are here to talk or smile or serve in whatever
way we can. So if we can be of any help then let us help.
MEMBERSHIP
We don't necessarily want someone as a member of our "CHURCH ORGANIZATION" just for the ego trip of saying "we now have XXX
number of members as of the first day of our new fiscal year." We simply would like you, you who are a part of the great awareness
of the Oneness of all things, to be a part of our organization for whatever time, long or short, and for whatever way you
feel it might benefit you. WE ARE ONE. Our organization contains a section called RELIGIONS OF ANCIENT WAYS which is WESTERN
WISDOM CENTERED in the traditions of mysticism and also contains a very active prison program in WICCA (AROW Tradition). Its
Buddhist program has been internationalized as part of Hongaku Jodo, Compassionate Lotus Tradition, and membership for inmates
is available thru Ku Temple Sangha.
We reach our hands to those who are confined. Tell them. We don't expect miracles, and yet every moment is a new miracle
awaiting its happening. Strength lies within.
SUPPORT
If you want to help support the work financially that is your choice. We accept all Tithes, gifts, offerings, etc., and they
are all tax deductible as allowed by law, but that is not what it is about for us. If you don't wish to help support the work,
the work will still get done if it is supposed to get done. You may contribute according to your ability to contribute.
As you can see, we are actively involved in EDUCATION.
